Although Where We Are is my final project for Visual Storytelling, it
also marks my final project as a college student. Like
My Day in 60 Seconds and
Self Reflection,
I wanted to create something meaningful, something that feels real and relatable.
When brainstorming ideas, I kept coming back to the concept of asking different
people the same question in the same space. Even though the film doesn't follow
a traditional narrative, it still says a lot about life, about where we are, and
about how even when we feel out of place, we might be exactly where we're meant
to be.
While the film touches on a deep and honest subject, I also chose to include some
lighter, more candid moments from the interviews. Because even when things are
heavy, there's always room for a bit of humanity, humor, and connection, as that's
what makes us human.
