Cat Magazine Layout

March 2024 // Assignment

For a Typography class assignment, I was tasked with recreating a magazine spread. I chose an article about cats, intrigued by the opportunity to blend my love for felines with design. The article's engaging content and playful tone inspired me to create a layout that was both informative and visually appealing.

To establish a cohesive design, I drew inspiration from a cat photo I planned to featured on the title page, extracting colors from its image to form the project's color palette. This approach ensured that the design elements harmonized with the subject matter. Additionally, I employed shape-building techniques and utilized a scratch vector to craft the title art, adding a unique and personalized touch to the layout.

The final spread not only showcases my typographic skills but also reflects my ability to create engaging and thematic designs that resonate with the content.
