This custom BrickHeadz build is based on Sombra from Overwatch, one of my favorite characters in the game! While she might be a bit problematic in-game, I think this LEGO interpretation turned out great! I could've added more detail, but I felt that would've made the model look cluttered. Personally, I prefer keeping things simple while still capturing a character's essence.

I originally designed and built this model a while back, even ordering the parts and assembling it physically. But at the time, I wasn't completely happy with some of the design choices, mainly with the hair, so I took it apart and let the idea sit.

After stepping away from some of my creative projects for a bit (mostly to get back into the rhythm of my summer job), I finally found time to revisit not just my site, but a few of my projects and builds too. Since then, Stud.io has released some new part recolors, which gave me the opportunity to make much-needed updates, especially to her hair, which now looks a lot cleaner and more accurate.

While updating this version, I also noticed that some of my BrickHeadz builds are slightly smaller than LEGO's official scale. I decided to keep Sombra shorter, partly out of habit, but mostly because it just looked better to me, and honestly, as the builder, I feel like that's reason enough!
