April 2025 // Film
Calling this a “film” might be a bit of a stretch, but with the camera work, angles,
and editing, I think I managed to create something clean and effective. For my other
website, Cuppy's, I wanted to make it feel more interactive, and one of the things I
felt was essential for that was an animated header. After working on some earlier
projects, I knew I could bring something special to the site that tied into the brand
and its vibe. I wanted to focus on making it feel inviting, without going overboard with
flashy animations.
Initially, I thought an actual animation might not fit the brand, so I decided to do
something a bit more grounded. With the idea of capturing the art of baking, I enlisted
my girlfriend to help me film the process of making bread, which is such an integral part
of Cuppy's concept. We both had a pretty solid vision of what we wanted to achieve, and I
think that's what made the project flow so smoothly. From the careful selection of shots to
the editing process, we were able to capture the essence of the brand in a way that’s both
authentic and engaging.
In the end, the video became a focal point for the site, adding a personal touch to the
overall look and feel. It helps convey the warmth and authenticity behind the brand,
which was exactly what I was hoping for.
